For geez sake did she have to be in mum jeans and frumpy blouses nearly every scene? There's some cloying sweetness around a school play and how the young guys pull through for Alice's 11 year old daughter , a brief will-she-won't-she with her jackass ex. Lots of fake smiling and euphoria around the so fun dinner table and this movie limps to a very unsatisfactory ending.
Not in itself a problem, plenty of movies with older men and young girls and Reese is attractive. I could buy it if there was any chemistry whatsoever between the pair of them. The guy has the presence of a cardboard cut out and the other two mates of his are similar in appeal, which is a problem, because for some unknown reason, this movie is just as much about the guys and a movie they want to produce as it is about Reese's Alice.

Guest stars include Tim Armstrong as Trashman, Sheila Larken as Margaret Scully, and Veena Sood as Dr. Louise Colquitt. Morgan was inspired to cast Armstrong because he is a fan of the punk rock band Rancid. Sood previously appeared as a different character in the first-season episode "Shadows". One may remember the mother character from past seasons (like the episode when Scully is found and is by her bedside, and to the show's credit they use the same actress). The main story with this trash-monster, who seems controlled, sort of, by the illustrations of a graffiti artist (?) is fine, though mostly as a sort of classic monster-of-the-week story. What makes it more interesting is what Scully brings to it, especially once she returns to the case to distract herself from what's happened to her mother.
However, since the film hit cinemas, Queen has somehow become even more popular, fuelled also by the ongoing world tour headlined by Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert. May himself has given updates on production on the follow-up, which is expected to pick up the story after Live Aid. Mulder and Scully are sent to investigate the murder of a city official, which it seems no human could have committed. At the crime scene, Scully receives a phone call from her older brother Bill, in Germany, telling her that their mother had a heart attack, causing her to leave and visit her.

It's an episode with a strong story, but it's made potent by the emotional context and how much weight and gravity is there with the idea that... I don't know if it's the "best" of the new episodes of the six, but it did bring the biggest wallop as far as the pathos. In North America, Home Again was released alongside It, and was projected to gross $10–12 million from 2,940 theaters in its opening weekend. It made $300,000 from Thursday night previews and $3.1 million on its first day.
Done Already? A few more words can help others decide if it's worth watching
Alice Kinney is the daughter of film director John Kinney, who made several prominent personal-focused films in his life but died some years ago. Alice is also attempting to start her own interior design business. Reese Witherspoon stars in the lighthearted comedy Home Again. After a drunken one-night stand on her 40th birthday Alice, a recently separated single mother, invites three struggling filmmakers to stay in her guest house, and they soon begin to bond with her daughters and become protective of her when her husband attempts a reconciliation. Unfortunately the script is rather weak and doesn't really explain why Alice and her husband separated, leaving the audience uncertain as to whether they should want her to move on or reconcile. In fact, the film plays it safe in almost every way; there are no villains, no real acts of betrayal, or conflicts that aren't easily resolved.
It went on to debut to $8.6 million, finishing second at the box office, behind It ($123.4 million). In its second weekend, the film dropped 38% to $5.3 million, finishing fourth, behind It and newcomers American Assassin and Mother!. I had read some reviews suggesting this isn't a good movie, but I tend to enjoy Reese Witherspoon's chick flicks, so I was prepared to judge for myself. Suggests that it must take a huge miracle to begin starting over. The problem here is that if it would ever be possible, I sure wish everyone that worked on this film that also worked on previous films; this means you too, Reese Witherspoon; gets a head start to starting over their career from their roots. The creature is the inadvertent creation of a street artist named Trashman, who drew the image of a defender of the homeless. Trashman claims the Band-Aid Nose Man is a "thought form". Meanwhile, Scully has flashbacks about her and Mulder's child, William, who was given up for adoption for his protection. I like her in a fun, need a vapid relaxation movie kinda way, but this surprised me a little. It's a cute rom com etc as expected but what was a bit different in this is that the boy toy characters actually had depth and were interesting people, which made it much more enjoyable to watch.
